What is the Acoustic Music Connection?
The Acoustic Music Connection is a group of individuals that has been meeting June of 2013. We generally meet the first Monday or Tuesday of each month, and about the 2nd or 3rd Sunday of each month.
We are people who enjoy playing music that is Acoustically based. We do have some electrically-based instruments, such as keyboards and bass guitar.
Everyone is welcome to join regardless of his/her musical ability. We have some beginners, and we have some people who are very accomplished. What we share in common is our love for music and the fun of creating music together.
When do you meet?
We currently have to sets of meeting times: We have “meetups” generally twice monthly (1) usually the first Monday of the month in the evening from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, and (2) about the 3rd Sunday of the month, usally from 6:00 PM until we’re done.

The meetups occur at private homes.
Who can join?
Anybody can join. The Acoustic Music Connection is an open organization with no membership requirements other than “come help us make music.”
We were originally organized using Meetup.com, and continue to use Meetup for many of our organizational functions. Membership in Meetup is free.

What music do you play?
Our song "book" has been built by our members. We generally pull songs from two sources:
- Yet Another Ukulele Songbook (compiled by our own member, Leonard Kaufer)
- Songs brought in by our own members.
Our song repertoire was built by our members. We encourage members to bring in music to share.
New members please note: We don't expect you to do much at all until you've had a chance to play with us a few times. We might be your cup of tea; we might not be. You are welcome to come, and we'll share our music with you.
What is the play list?
We have a play list. The idea behind the list is to have each participant select a couple of songs from our repertoire. We ask each member to practice those songs so we can perform at our best level for at least a few minutes!!!
When do you meet?
Our sessions are mostly in the evening. We usually meet some day during the first week of the month from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. The meetup days and times are flexible, however, especially if you decide to host an event. In that case, you may choose the date and time.
What is the notebook?
The notebook is a binder full of the songs other members have brought in. Please keep an organized binder of these songs so we have them available to play again.
